Product Description
Product Description
This product is an answer to every gamer that was looking for the performance of the Avago 3310 sensor in an ergonomic mouse. The new ec1-a and ec2-a series keeps the same shape and size from the original EC series and introduces the Avago 3310 sensor just like the FK series. After releasing mice with different surfaces, ZOWIE gear understood that most people prefer the coating used in the FK and EC EVO CL lines and as such the new EC line will also use this coating. The mouse is plug and play (no drivers needed) and has a low-lift off distance, signature features of all ZOWIE mice.

Pros:
-Jet black
-Tracks well
-Clicks very smoothly
-Scroll wheel is accurate
Cons:
-Not enough buttons? Honestly I cannot think of any cons other than maybe the scroll wheel not having more 'clicks'. Just my preference.
If you've done your research and have yet to try one, I believe it will turn out to be just as you would imagine. It's very straight and to the point, it looks great on a mouse pad and is great for all day use.

Since the launch of the Razer Deathadder Black Edition in 2011, I have been playing with various iterations of the Razer DeathAdder mouse, the latest being the DeathAdder Elite (in my case the Destiny 2 variant specifically). I have always found the shape of the mouse to be the most comfortable, whilst the Razer Synapse software has always allowed me the level of customization that I require. In this regard, the Synapse software has allowed me to effortlessly set individual profiles for specific games that require special settings to function properly, e.g. Bioshock 1 and 2 that require a 125Hz polling rate, Mass Effect 2 that requires a 400 DPI setting, etc. Prior to the Elite, DeathAdders never had a dedicated button(s) to change the DPI, which I actually prefer. Whilst gaming with the Elite I kept pressing the DPI button by accident, which annoyed me to no end.
So I started my search for a gaming mouse "without" a DPI button that could replace my Elite. After reading and watching many reviews, I decided on the Zowie EC range and given my hand size of approximately 20cm, I picked the EC1 specifically. Since the EC1-B has the newer 3360 sensor (vs the older 3310 of the EC1-A), I decided to go with the latest version. The other advantages of the EC1-B for me were the all black coating without RGB (I love the simplicity, reminds me of the DeathAdder Black Edition), and the DPI and polling rate button switches at the bottom of the mouse (no accidental presses). Although the Razer synapse software has worked flawlessly for me, I wanted to move away from software and liked the driver-less nature of this mouse plus the fact that it was easy to pre-select a specific DPI and polling rate if a game required it. The mouse is extremely comfortable (more so than the Elite) but is slightly larger and heavier. On the balance I think my aim has remained the same in FPS games. The only real downsides are the coating of the mouse that becomes greasy very easily if your palm sweats and the scroll wheel that is extremely noisy. Other than that this mouse has now permanently replaced my Elite mainly due to its superior comfort in my hand - it feels very natural for my palm grip.

Also didn’t mention it above but I like the fact that it doesn’t have rubber grip or anything because I keep having issues where the glue melts when it gets warm after so long and the rubber piece then drags against the mousepad. For me personally simpler is better.
PROS:
Good for large hands
Satisfying click (IMO)
Great sensor (3360)
Good ergonomic design
Grip is amazing
Light (90g)
Has 4 adjustable DPI settings
Good for black/red setups
CONS:
Cable is bad, bends easily
Side buttons are mistakenly pressed sometimes
Mouse scroll wheel is weird
I still don't regret buying this mouse even though it has some ups and downs. If some of the cons were fixed then I would give it a five-star rating.

I also use a G305 from logitech for my daily browsing just because I find it frustrating to browse on the zowie mouse, so the scroll wheel is still the same from other zowie mouse which is a downside for daily browsing but I find it neat for fps gaming.
TLDR;
Pros
- Shape is amazing
- Clicks are nice
- Lots of extra mouse feet in the box.
Cons
- Scroll wheel is bad for daily browsing but good for fps gaming (use it mainly for BO4 and R6)
- The coating.
Conclusion: Would buy again.
