The software: The software was easy to figure out, but not the easiest to locate (the download link), but after 5 minutes or so of digging through logitech's software library i found it. It has so many customizable features which can be linked to different profiles for different games. This is a huge help when say, you're playing an FPS and need to cool off because you have that one guy in comp that is playing an offensive sniper and wont switch or join your teams chat, you can change your game and the mouse / software will automatically choose what profile you have assigned for that game. So you're quick melee is now your rejuvenation in MMORPG, or something of the sort. The mouse software also allows you to calibrate any sort of surface or mousepad with it, so it stays shark and reliably responsive with the amount of sensitivity you want.
The mouse is very attractive and impressive. The lighting is well done and can be customized in the software, like most others relative to this one. The color can be set to different sleep times therefore making it able to rest instead of constantly cycling through a rainbow color pattern. Of course i don't use this setting, if something has the capability to change colors endlessly ill have it changing colors endlessly.
The mouse doesn't heat up besides the obvious body heat you'll release while using it. Its extremely comfortable, and fits almost perfectly in my hand. It has a nice weight, not to lite and not too heavy, i would call it a "controlled weight. " but that may not be the right terminology for it. Theres a button in the middle just above the mouse wheel that controls profiles / saved dpi setting, but like i said before, you can change this and customize it to anything you would like.
I can't honestly compare it to any of its competitors because i've not used them, but this mouse sure does kick my retired $20.00 Razer mouse's ass without a doubt. For a casual gamer who wants the a quality response time thats reliable, and to be able to customize nearly anything about the product this is a good fit, im sure. The price of this mouse is fair, and spending anything more than this wont necessarily get you that much other than cosmetics and the option of wireless. Remember, even though wireless is very advanced compared to a few years ago, it still has more latency when compared to a wire mouse. So if you're looking for quick response that you can count on, stay wired.
This is now my everyday mouse and i expect it to be for a good chunk of my future. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs to upgrade out of the department store $20.00 mice.

Edit: 11/3/2021 still works fine
I love this mouse right out of the box, my hands are a bit on the smaller side so its perfect for me but the mouse is not too small.
I prefer a mouse that works well for RTS and FPS, for RTS I play Starcraft 2 pretty competitively and CSGO and Rainbow Six Siege casually (I use to be a seasoned CSGO player), and I gotta say they work very well for both.
In this review I will be comparing mostly to the Razer Deathadder (specifically the chroma edition)
Reasons why I decided to buy this:
My deathadder chroma is great for FPS, but felt a bit hefty for RTS (Starcraft 2), as well as the clicks I couldn't click lightly with the middle-upper part of my index finger I had to do an almost deep click with the tip of my index finger for a click to register (for RTS there is alot of clicking that goes on so I prefer a mouse with light convenient clicks).
Also the shape and size of the deathadder felt uncomfortable for long RTS gaming sessions, again my hand is on the smaller side.
Also the deathadder being the right handed model, I felt the chunky part of my palm where my thumb is connected gripped the bottom left part of the mouse to the point where I couldn't maneuver my hands towards the front of the mouse while playing without lifting my hand off the mouse (hope that makes sense).
Now for my baby for RTS gaming is the Razer Abyssus Optical gaming mouse, this baby is the one for RTS it has helped me get into Diamond league. However, for FPS the size of the mouse is too small and light to the point where my control feels awkward. I like a little weight in my mouse for FPS as well as the clicks on the Abyssus Optical version just feels too light for me. The Logitech G Pro Hero hits home for FPS and RTS, not being too light or too small, just the right pinch for a great versatile mouse.
Pros:
- Good Weight : Just enough weight that makes you feel like you're using something authentic and the light-medium weight also helps with control so it doesn't feel like you're holding light plastic.
- Good shape and size : The shape is ambidextrous and the size is great for RTS and FPS.
- Good Clicks : The clicks are almost crisp like a deathadder, and the sound is like there is a little heft to it which is fine.
The Scroll button (aka mouse 3) requires a bit of weight which I feel indifferent about but will continue to test.
- Looks : Looks great, the 2 side controls on the left side of the mouse requires a little more force than a deathadder which is fine.
- Other : There is a button to switch between different dpi's which is wonderful, every new gaming mouse should have this, along with the 2 side buttons. I use the side buttons for in-game communication, 1 for typing and 1 for the mic.
The Lighting is Great and blends well with your RGB gaming keyboards.
Cons:
- None so far except for the fact that I should have gotten this mouse sooner!

Back in 2014 Logitech released their new lineup of mice and I decided to take a chance. I started with the G302 and it was amazing but it did not have the incredible PMW3366 Sensor so the mouse would loose its bearing in low sensitivity/high movement situations. They released the G303 later that year with RGB Support and the PMW3366 Sensor. I currently own 4x G303 and recently purchased this PRO.
The pro is a redesigned G303. Same sensor, the back of the mouse was redesigned to be more smooth. The mouse is responsive, never fails and looks great. It did not say anywhere about RGB Support, but it does come with RGB Support. You don't need to keep the Logitech Software installed once the mouse is configured, it just saves everything onto the mouse.
Pros:
Good Mouse cable braid
Good Shape, ambidextrous but the buttons are only on the left side.
PMW3366 Sensor, one of the best tracking Sensors on the market.
Very Nice packaging.
Software is responsive and just works!
Cons:
While the material quality is good its not the best, it could be better
Price is probably high because of the RGB Support because the G303 used to be like 59$ (USD) / 79$ (CAD)
No issues as of yet!
